Young Ambassadors for Peace in Sri Lanka has Singhalese, Tamil and Muslim members. It is extremely multi-faith with its members coming from Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Muslim religions.  YAP Sri Lanka is based in Colombo and Batticoloa with Doris Thambyrajah being the chief coordinator.

Unfortunately the work of YAP in Sri Lanka was put on hold due to political instability and conflict. However it is hoped that this vital peacemaking work can be recommenced shortly.  Joy Balazo is monitoring the situation and making contact when she can.
