YAP’s office in the Solomon Islands is located at the Wesley United Church in Honiara with James Qoloni as the Coordinator. We have three branches: YAPMA (Malaita), YAPGU (Guadalcanal) and YAPWE (Western Province). Each branch employs one field coordinator and volunteers.

Instability in the government and its changing allegiances, distance and  very scattered islands make cohesion and peace difficult. For this reason the YAP centre was established in 2003 and its main work is peace education in communities and schools as well as recruiting more young people to be YAP members through participation in YAP workshops.
